Tumbling Tuesday

At about 6am the human was woken by a loud thump. Barnaby had managed to roll off the bed. He landed between the bed and the wall, next to a small table but he managed to scrabble back up and settled down to sleep. It was an omen of what was to come.

It was lock keeping day. Barnaby was in his Dogs Trust harness with his soft lead connected to the human's belt. Luckily!

Laura was working on an extending boat hook when she heard a loud splash and turned to see Barnaby's bottom disappearing under the surface of the water! Panicking slightly she hauled on the lead, grabbed the harness and heaved a very wet dog out of the lock! She didn't wait to see if he could swim!

It's the first time he's been immersed since he was adopted.

It's a good job it was a sunny day and he could dry off by trotting around.

The rest of the day went better for Barnaby.

He got to meet several other dogs and was given treats by some of the humans.

He even had a nice, cool nap in the pub at lunch time.

It was a long day for a doggy though and by the end of it he'd had enough of sun, cyclists, and bin bags so he had a bit of a shout at a man going to the rubbish bin; it was time to go home and pass out!
